Welcome to the Office for Senior Citizens
Our Office was established in 1990, and is part of the Ministry of Social Development.
Our role is to:
- promote the rights and interests of older people
- lead, monitor and promote the New Zealand Positive Ageing Strategy
- provide policy advice on issues that affect older people, and lead strategic and cross-sectoral policy
- support the Minister for Senior Citizens.
